FLUORESCENT MINERALS

As mentioned in our “Crystals” section, these locations are as rich in history as the mines are as deep in Mother Earth. Upon arriving home after one of our collecting/buying trips into Mexico, we clean our new specimens, shut off our shop lights and turn on our longwave and shortwave UV blacklights. Much to our delight, Mother Earth’s Magic Show illuminates our shelves with all the colors of the rainbow.

Around 65% of the specimens fluoresce. The fluorites, calcites, aragonites, chalcedonies and other minerals that are sometimes tough to identify just make us say, “Wow!”. Hence, the name of our company, “FluorEssence”, was born.
